Alf, in the previous round, had beaten his opponent 2096 – 313 with 6 century breaks of 174, 108, 137, 110, 165 and 193. The “plum” one, the Billiard Player magazine says, was his 165 made in 10.5 minutes with his 110 made in 6.5 minutes.
