These are some of the photos that have been published in the Huddersfield Examiner during the 30 years of Jack’s playing days. There are also a number of photos taken from the Halifax Courier during the four years that he played in their Parish League from season 1952/53 to 1955/56.
1947
This was on the front of Jack’s own scrapbook which he kept for all of five months, before he started just putting them in the small suitcase I found them in.
1948
Jack probably learnt a great deal while playing the likes of Victor, who was a wonderful player.
Jack isn’t in the photo on the right but I think its worth showing, with the snooker team winning the Yorkshire Inter-District League.
